Internal Finishes
Plasterboard Finish
The more popular internal ceiling finish on most sunrooms would be the plasterboard painted white, this has a nice bright white finish to it allowing as much light to be bounced around the room as possible. This finish would be the ideal solution in the case of a conservatory roof replacement as you have become so used to the amount of light from your glass or polycarbonate roof the white finish will go somewhat to bringing the light back into your home. The white and timber internal finish of the Fakro window will have no problem standing up to the Plastered finish.

Timber Finish
If your room is naturally bright the Timber finish could be the perfect choice for your ceiling, depending on the design and layout of your home this finish could also allow you to tie in aesthetically with existing finishes. The timber finish on the Fakro window also works really well in this case.
Insulation
Warm Roof is insulated to full Building Control standard achieving a u value of 0.16w/mk. The insulation consists of 40mm superquilt and 60mm PIR insulation in all foil backed plasterboard application, the same insulation is used in a Timber finish ceiling but a vapour controlled layer is also needed with this. Warm Roof is classed as a warm roof construction. All second fix items such as architraves, skirting, electrics and decoration to be agreed between installer and client.
Roof Tiles
All of Metrotiles roofing products are fabricated from Zincalume-protected steel. Metrotiles textured finish provides added protection by embedding natural stone granules in an acrylic base-coat. A final clear acrylic over-glaze is applied before being oven cured. This extremely durable UV-resistant coating enables Metrotile roofing products to withstand the harshest environments around the world.
Metrotile is ISO 9001 accredited. International test reports, appraisals and field results confirm our products are 100% waterproof, earthquake safe, fire resistant and able to withstand hurricane-force winds of up to 190kph (120mph). A Metrotile roof will not only safeguard your investment but will also give you complete peace of mind because its backed by a Metrotile warranty.

The Metrotile Shingle
The Metrotile Shingle textured-finish tile captures the subtle look and charm of low-profile traditional shingles. With a Metrotile Shingle roof, you can eliminate the delaminating, lifting and general break-down caused by strong UV rays and high winds associated with other shingle roofs. With its exceptional durability, a Metrotile Shingle roof offers superior performance and all the advantages of stone-coated steel. Metrotile Shingle comes in a choice of natural weathered tones to recreate the visual appeal of timber, asphalt or fired-clay shingles.
Extensive research and development in the design process ensures every Metrotile product is manufactured to the highest quality with exceptional durability and strength. The tile profiles and roofing accessories are engineered to interlock and overlap to resist wind lifting and keep out the harsh elements. At less than 7kg/m2, a Metrotile roof is a ‘Lightweight Roofing System’, so considerable cost savings can be achieved during construction. The perfect replacement for your old existing roof, a Metrotile roof lets you improve the look and value of your home in a matter of days.
Roof Windows
Using specially selected high quality pinewood and using the latest technology in timber lamination techniques, FAKRO roof windows are extremely stable.
To complement this technology all timber components are double vacuum preservative treated and given a 3 coat matt lacquer finish, which requires no further decoration. Externally the timber components are covered with aluminium sections which are covered with a uv and weather resistant coating. All window elements can be painted in any RAL colour according to customer wishes.
